Point Road "How far can we go?" Challenge
Now that the weather is getting warmer your challenge this week is to go outside for a run, walk, or bike ride every day and keep track of how many miles you completed this week. As a school community, we will add up everyone's miles (teachers too!) and see if we started at Point Road School how far South could we go. Can we make it to Washington DC? South Carolina? Miami? Maybe all the way down to Key West!
You can use a running app to keep track of your daily mileage. Personally I use the "Nike Running Club", it is totally free and pretty easy to use. If you don't have access to a phone to track the miles you can use these estimates....
Running: 10 minutes = 1 mile
Walking: 20 minutes = 1 mile
Biking: 6 minutes = 1 mile
You can enter your miles daily or you can do it all at once on Friday using this Google Form...
https://forms.gle/EaH4pzTMUbhfCReG7
Please fill out your full name, miles, and select the type of activity.
We would love to see photos or selfies of you completing your daily miles! You can Tweet them to us at @CoachHilla or @AskMrRuss or email them to us at [email protected] or [email protected]
Any questions please ask us! We look forward to seeing how many miles we complete as a school this week!
